We have five membership levels that renew annually

Founding Member - $25,000

The Founding Member Level represents the pinnacle of dedication to Walker County’s growth and future. Established through the generosity of four long-standing partners, this level was created to strengthen our mission and expand our community impact.

Founding Members are visionary leaders — individuals and organizations who not only believe in Walker County’s potential but actively help shape it. Their membership often aligns with corporate social responsibility goals and a shared commitment to long-term community prosperity.

Becoming a Founding Member of the Walker County Economic Development Council (WCEDC) is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make a lasting difference. As a Permanent Founding Member, you will be recognized with a commemorative plaque in the WCEDC Board Room — a lasting tribute to your role in building the foundation of our organization.

This exclusive distinction is available only through 2025. After that, no new Founding Members will be added — ensuring your legacy as one of the original supporters who helped launch and shape the WCEDC’s impact.

The Leadership Member level represents the pinnacle of engagement within the Economic Development Council — designed for those who want not only a seat at the table but a hand in shaping the future of our region’s economic success.

Leadership Members receive all the benefits of Trustee Membership, along with an enhanced suite of exclusive privileges that provide unmatched access, influence, and visibility.

As a Leadership Member, you enjoy a reserved seat on the Economic Development Advisory Council, ensuring your voice is heard in shaping strategic initiatives and regional priorities.

A position on the Executive Board, placing you among the most influential leaders guiding the EDC’s mission and impact.

As a Trustee Member, you enjoy the full suite of benefits available to our Associate Members — and much more. This exclusive level is designed for those who want a deeper connection to the vision, leadership, and direction of the Economic Development Council.

Trustee Members have the option to serve on the Board of Directors, playing an influential role in shaping strategy and driving key initiatives that impact our region’s growth and prosperity. Even if you choose not to exercise your board option, you are still welcomed into the inner circle — with full access to board meetings, discussions, and strategic updates. This gives you a unique insider’s perspective and the opportunity to engage directly with community leaders, policymakers, and business influencers.

The Trustee level isn’t just a membership — it’s an invitation to be part of the conversation that drives progress.

Associate Members are invited to participate in partner meetings, networking events, speaker sessions, and conversations on key organizational and community issues. This level is designed especially for small businesses looking to get connected, build relationships, and engage with the community before stepping into a larger membership commitment.

The Associate Level offers an accessible way for small businesses to get involved with the Walker County EDC. Members gain access to partner meetings, networking events, speaker sessions, and discussions on community and organizational issues. This entry-level membership is an affordable, low-risk way to build connections, explore opportunities, and engage with the community before making a larger investment.

The Community Impact Level is designed for nonprofits and small businesses with fewer than five employees who are passionate about making a difference in Walker County. Members at this level gain access to networking opportunities, community discussions, and partner events, helping them build meaningful connections and contribute to local growth.

This membership provides an affordable way for mission-driven organizations and emerging businesses to engage with the EDC, amplify their voice, and play an active role in shaping the future of our community.
